Hair are the identifying characteristic of humans. Taking care of hair is very important, in spite of your daily busy schedule. Hair having volume and density gives one a good look together with the boost in personality. Nowadays where looking good in health and attire has become a need, we are forgetting the most important part of our look i.e. our hair.

Lucky are the women who have natural beautiful hair. Oiling your hair is one of the best method to grow long and gain strength. Oiling hair will also help you relax after a long day. Massaging hair is a popular stress buster. Oil is a conditioner and hair moisturise.

Here are the advantages of oiling hair:
  1. Prevents Greying Of HairPrevents greying of hair

There was a time when gray hair was related directly to one’s age and treated as a sign of aging. These would appear typically around the 40s, and in some cases, even later. But today, the picture is quite different. While most people spot their first gray around their late 20s or early 30s, there are some cases where white hair is seen as early as in the teens. Going by the trend, you’re lucky if you have hit the mid-30s and still have only one or two grays. Your hair follicles contain pigmentation cells. These pigmentation cells are called melanin; that’s responsible for giving our hair the color it naturally has. The higher melanin content your hair follicles will generate, the darker your hair color will be. And similarly, the lower the melanin content generated by your hair follicles, the lighter your hair will be. As we grow older, there is a loss in these cells, which results in lessening the intensity of the color and eventually loss of color. When the melanin count decreases significantly at an early age, premature graying of hair is experienced. Regularly oiling and massaging thus helps to retain the color of your hair, and thus giving you black and shining hair.

  2. Prevents DandruffPrevents Dandruff

Dandruff is a condition of the scalp that causes flakes of skin to appear and is often accompanied by itching. In some cases, it can be embarrassing and not easy to treat. Dandruff cause itching on the scalp and at hair roots, thus resulting in hair breakage and hair fall. Dandruff is thus the major cause of hair fall. People with dry skin tend to get dandruff more often. Winter cold air, combined with overheated rooms is a common cause of itchy, flaking skin. Just massage 2 tablespoons lemon juice into your scalp and rinse with water. Then stir 1 teaspoon lemon juice into 1 cup water and rinse your hair with it. Repeat this daily until your dandruff disappears. Lemon’s acidity helps balance the pH of your scalp, which helps keeps dandruff at bay. This is the best method to get rid off of dandruff with help of oil.

  3. Shine and LustreShine and LustreEveryone wants shining and lustrous hair. Shine is the most attractive feature of healthy hair. Healthy hair has an outer layer that contains natural oil to keep it moist and shiny. When this layer is damaged – and this can happen due to several reasons – the hair begins to look and feel dull, unhealthy and dry. Take a few drops of pure coconut oil, rub it all over your palms and glaze it through your hair ends. It will take the frizziness out of your hair, while adding shine to it. On the other hand, another remedy that works well is eggs with almond oil and curd. Beat 2 eggs, mix in about 2 tablespoons of almond oil and half a cup of curd; stir to get a pasty mass and massage this into the hair and scalp. Cover with a plastic cap for about 30 minutes and then wash with warm water and a mild shampoo.
  4. Scalp Nourishment

Our hair becomes dry and damaged due to sun exposure, dyeing, chemicals in shampoos and heat styling tools. Just like conditioning, oiling is also important to provide nourishment and moisture to your hair. We all have tried expensive conditioners, treatments and such products but they rarely deliver what they claim. Using oils for massaging scalp increase blood circulation and stimulate hair follicles.

Scalp NourishmentOlive Oil is a perfect solution for all your hair issues that include dry, brittle, damaged hair and also hair loss. Use it as a hair treatment that doesn’t cost a fortune. It is best to warm olive oil for deep penetration into hair cuticles. Take two tbsp. of olive oil and slightly warm it. Gently massage it into your scalp. Don’t rub the roots because it can cause breakage. Wrap your hair in a warm towel and leave it on for 30 minutes. Use a mild shampoo to wash your hair.Almond oil

Almond Oil is also a rich source of proteins therefore stimulates hair growth. Massage almond oil on your scalp to stimulate blood flow which brings oxygen to hair follicle which in turn promotes growth.Almond oil brings shine to dull and limp hair. Regular use of almond oil can provide natural deep conditioning.

  5. Prevents hair breakage and stimulates hair growthPrevents hair breakage

Hair breakage is extremely common problem with men and women. Unfortunately most of us don’t know the reason for our hair breakage. Using a brush or comb on wet hair causes strands to snap. A common result of over processing is heat damage. Heat damage from excessive heat styling is a major cause of breakage, and comes from over-employing your straightener, hair dryer, and other tools. Depending on the manipulation required for the desired style, it may be better to wait until the hair is damp or damp-dry. 4) Diet low in zinc, iron, and/or Vitamin B-12: A deficiency in any of these nutrients can result in weaker strands (and thus breakage) or even hair loss.  Taking a good multivitamin on a daily basis can ensure that you are receiving a sufficient amount of these nutrients. When you wash your hair, you deprive your hair of its natural oils. Washing your hair every day is not necessary, unless you have super oily hair and your hair looks greasy even the same day after you wash it.Stimulates Hair Growth

Massage your scalp with coconut or extra virgin olive oil to stimulate the hair roots and blood circulation in the scalp surface. Mix well a little bit of extra virgin olive oil into your conditioner. Apply this to your hair after shampooing to stop hair breakage.

Also, the best remedy to stop hair breakage is Hot Oil Treatment. Give hot oil treatment once or twice a week to your hair to provide enough moisture to prevent hair breakage.
